Does how I travel really make a difference?
Yes. While changing your personal travel habits may not single-handedly solve our transportation and air quality issues, it will make a difference. By using the TravelWise Tracker to keep a log of the trips you save using TravelWise strategies, you can view how your small changes make an impact in terms of emissions, energy and money saved.
Do I have to give up my car to be TravelWise?
No. You don't have to take extreme measures to implement TravelWise strategies. Most strategies can be easily implemented into your daily routine by simply being in the TravelWise mindset and planning a little in advance.

Yes. Whether you are someone who currently does a little or a lot to implement TravelWise strategies, there is always room for improvement. By observing your travel habits and routines, you may find there are ways you can reduce trips and better utilize TravelWise strategies.
Are UDOT and UTA the same?
While the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) and the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) are both similar agencies, they are not the same. UDOT has the responsibility to plan, build and maintain roads throughout the state. UTA is responsible for the transit needs of residents along the Wasatch Front. From time to time, UDOT and UTA will collaborate on a project. Some of these collaborations include the FrontRunner Commuter Rail, TRAX light rail system and the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line on 3300 South in Salt Lake.
